Lituba Place is ideally situated for day trips to a number of attractions, including a fair number in both Mozambique and Swaziland.
Some of the attractions are listed below.
Kruger National Park:
Lituba Place is close to both the Malelane and Crocodile Bridge entrances to this world-famous park. The southern part of Kruger rarely fails to reward visitors with a wide variety of sightings, and we have lost count of the number of times we have seen the Big Five in one day. Planning a nice circular route to include breakfast and lunch at either a camp or a picnic area is simple!
The Mananga border post to Swaziland is about 90km from Lituba Place. Visiting the glass blowers at Ngwenya and the other crafters around Mbabane is an easy day trip. You can plan your route to go past the spectacular Maguga Dam.
The Lebombo border post to Mozambique is about 33km from Lituba Place and Maputo a further 100km along the EN4 toll road. Planning your trip to miss the early morning rush at the border post is generally wise. The well-signposted Sun City restaurant just through the border post serves excellent chicken despite it looking run-down, and the beer is always cold! The fish market in Maputo is worth a visit (take your coolbox with you if you intend buying!). Later afternoon is the best time to visit as the fish will then be fresh. There are a number of very good restaurants along the coast.
For adrenalin junkies there are quad-bike tours, 4x4 trails, microlight flips, etc.
More sedate activities include fishing, horseriding and walks.
